Seven kinds of photos, each with its own rules

Before you upload, pick what is in the photo. Each choice tells the drawing step what matters most to keep.

The choices, explained

Detail level

Easy (ages 2–5) has very thick outlines and big spaces. Classic (ages 6–10) has medium lines and some detail. Detailed (teens and adults) has fine lines and rich detail. Changing the level after you see a page makes a new drawing and uses a page.

Background

Keep the background and we simplify it into a few large shapes. Turn it off and your subject stands alone on plain white, which is great for toddlers and saves ink.

Name caption

Type up to 24 characters and we draw them in hollow letters under the picture. We draw the letters ourselves, so they are always spelled right. Changing the name is free.

Paper size

Every page comes as a PDF in US Letter (8.5 × 11 in) or A4, with 0.5 inch margins so nothing gets cut off, plus a PNG. We pick the size for your country and you can switch.

What we do behind the scenes

Your photo is resized and its location data is removed before anything else happens. The page is drawn by AI from your photo, then we clean it to pure black lines on white, check it for heavy ink, and add the name and (for free pages) a light watermark. A page usually takes 35 to 70 seconds.

Privacy

Your photos are only used to make your pages. We never publish them and never show them to other visitors. Read the privacy policy.
